"My son was buried by his father before he died," Mohbad's mother said.

In an exclusive interview titled "Mohbad’s mother opens up on late son, ex-husband, Naira Marley,” Abosede, the mother of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, accused her ex-husband of burying their son before he actually passed away.

Abosede revealed that despite spending 10 days at her ex-husband's house shortly before Mohbad's demise, she was unaware of his death until later. She claimed to have called the family together upon learning the news but alleged that her ex-husband buried Mohbad prematurely.

According to Abosede, she objected to the early burial, believing Mohbad could have been saved if not for the hasty interment. However, Mohbad's father cited Yoruba cultural customs for the swift burial, stating that it's customary not to delay burial when both parents are alive.

Mohbad's father clarified that the land where Mohbad was buried belonged to him and was intended for building a church. He emphasized that the decision to bury Mohbad swiftly aligned with Yoruba traditions.

Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27 in Lagos State. Subsequently, an investigation by the Lagos State Police Command led to the exhumation of Mohbad's remains for an autopsy.
