Yul Edochie, a well-known actor, has stated that he is not married to Judith Austin, despite having two children together. He claims that their relationship is solely focused on creating skits and maintains that there is no legally recognized marriage between them.
The revelation came through legal proceedings initiated by Yul's estranged wife, May. May's legal representative, Emeka Ugwuonye of Due Process Advocates, disclosed this information in a recent statement and video address. Yul, aged 42, reportedly made this assertion in court filings.
The ongoing legal battle, which began when May filed for divorce in August 2023, has faced delays. The case, scheduled for a hearing on March 5th at the FCT High Court in Abuja, experienced an unexpected setback. Yul and Judy are alleged to have taken credit for this delay.
Emeka Ugwuonye, who initially kept details of the case private, has now revealed developments. He outlined Yul and Judy's defense strategy, emphasizing their denial of marriage and assertion that their relationship lacks legal recognition.
Yul's court filing included a statement disavowing marriage to Judy. He accused Gistlover, a blog known for sensationalist content, of exploiting their relationship for financial gain.
May's initial petition referenced a traditional marriage ceremony between Yul and Judy in April 2022, as reported by Gistlover. Yul refuted this claim, attributing it to the blog's dissemination of false information.
Despite Yul and Judy's denial of marriage, they have two children together. Their first child, Star Munachimso, was born in November 2021, with reports suggesting the arrival of a second child, a daughter.
May's legal team highlighted the complexity of the situation, noting that despite Yul and Judy's insistence on a skit-making relationship, it has resulted in the birth of multiple children, with another on the way.
