"Stop That Your Double Standard Narrative" Femi Adebayo's Wife, Issues Strong Warnings To Online Aunties

Aduke, the wife of award-winning box office filmmaker Femi Adebayo, has taken to social media to address the influx of unwanted advice from online critics, whom she refers to as "online aunties." In a recent post, she expressed frustration over what she perceives as a double standard in their counsel, particularly regarding her public support for her husband.

In her message, Aduke wrote, “Dear online aunties, please stop coming to my dm with your double standard narrative. I’m tired of reading your numerous dumb advice… I’ll do what I did again and again if your favourite goes the same route, I wonder why you all think it’s okay for her to publicly call out a colleague (when she could have easily put a call through) and subjected him to PUBLIC criticism but it’s not okay for his wife to PUBLICLY stand up for him.. isn’t that funny? Just stop sending those dms. I’m tired of blocking.”

She emphasized her readiness to repeat her actions, which previously involved publicly defending her husband, even in the face of criticism. She pointed out a recent incident involving actress Dayo Amusa, where she felt justified in her actions and questioned why similar support for her husband was met with disapproval.

The food vendor reiterated that her previous outburst was a show of solidarity with her husband, who had faced public criticism from a colleague. She stressed her commitment to blocking individuals who continue to advise her to stay out of her husband's professional matters.

In her message, Aduke urged online critics to refrain from sending her unsolicited advice, highlighting her exhaustion with having to block them repeatedly. She questioned the inconsistency in their reactions to public displays of support and criticism, urging them to desist from such actions.
