"I live in a rented house in Abuja," Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote reveals.

Aliko Dangote, Africa's richest man, disclosed that his residence in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is not his own but a rented property. Speaking at a media event at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, Dangote shared his commitment to Nigeria's industrialization as the reason behind this decision.

Dangote stated, "The reason I don’t have a London or America house is solely because I wanted to focus on industrialization in Nigeria. I figured that if I had those houses, there will be one reason or the other for me to visit those places, thereby causing distraction for me. I am very passionate about the Nigeria dream."

He further revealed that he once owned a house in London but sold it in 1996 to eliminate any potential distractions. "Apart from my Lagos house, I have another one in my home state Kano and a rented one in Abuja," Dangote added, underscoring his commitment to staying in Nigeria and contributing to its development.

This revelation highlights Dangote's dedication to his business ventures in Nigeria and his strategic decision to avoid distractions by not owning properties abroad.
