In a tragic incident, suspected Boko Haram insurgents attacked Faudiya School, an Islamic institution belonging to the Shiite sect, in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State. The attack occurred in the early hours of Friday, August 30, 2024, around 3:44 a.m. while the students were asleep.
The assailants invaded the Hausari quarters, forcefully taking the students outside and shooting them dead. Local sources confirmed that three students were killed, and one was injured while attempting to escape. The injured victim has been hospitalized.
The incident has sparked fear and concern among residents of Geidam, leaving the community in shock. The Yobe State Police Command has confirmed the attack but has not provided further details.
