Renowned Nigerian Yoruba actress Bose Akinola has recently spoken out about the conflict that arose between her and fellow actress Rukayat Lawal, known as Iya Ibadan Sneh, during a film production.
In an open interview, Bose revealed the details of the dramatic clash with her longtime friend and colleague, which occurred a few months ago. The tension escalated when Iya Ibadan publicly accused Bose of underpaying her for her role in the movie. She claimed that instead of receiving the agreed-upon sum of N500,000, Bose only paid her N500, providing a receipt as evidence.
The dispute came to light when Iya Ibadan shared a video on Instagram, showing the two in a heated argument. Iya Ibadan refused to continue filming until she received the full payment, while Bose stood by her actions, arguing that the payment was a misunderstanding.
During an interview on Success 105.3 FM in Ibadan, Bose explained that the altercation was not just a playful disagreement but a serious issue that nearly strained their friendship. Bose noted that Iya Ibadan had requested her to send "5" in a text message, implying N500,000, but Bose humorously interpreted it as N500 and sent that amount instead.
Despite the intense exchange, Bose assured that they have since reconciled and are now on good terms. The incident, though serious, ended with both actresses moving past their differences and continuing their friendship.
