So Sad: Lagos-Based Musician Mukaila Senwele Passes Away Suddenly

Mukaila Senwele, a renowned Lagos-based musician known for his popular catchphrase, “Koni Da Fun Ebo To Se Costay,” has passed away. He died unexpectedly on Friday night, according to a family source speaking to Royal News.


Originally from Ilorin West Local Government Area in Kwara State, Senwele was celebrated for his captivating performances and unique entertainment style, which made him a favorite among socialites.


A family member disclosed that Senwele showed no signs of illness before his sudden demise. “He spent the day with his fans and even promised to visit the family house later that evening,” the source said.


Reports indicate the family received an urgent call from where Senwele had been lodging with fans. Despite efforts by his elder brother and others to rush him to the hospital, he could not be saved.


Senwele will be buried on Saturday morning, in line with Islamic traditions.


Veteran actress Toyin Adegbola took to social media to mourn his passing, writing:

“I can’t believe you are no more, Mukaila Senwele! Ile aye, ile asan. Your performance at the remembrance party for my late parents on December 27, 2024, was perfect. May God grant you eternal rest and give your family the strength to bear this loss. You will be greatly missed. Good night. Eje ka gbe ile aye se rere oo.”


Fans and colleagues have expressed their condolences, mourning the loss of a talented artist whose charm and energy left a lasting impact on many.
