"She Stood by Me When I Had Nothing" – Portable Defends Taking First Wife to London, Slams Baby Mama Over Rivalry

Popular Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has sparked fresh controversy over his treatment of the women in his life. The street-hop artist took to social media to explain why he prioritizes his first wife, Bewaji, over his other partners, particularly after announcing plans to take her to London.

In a now-deleted Instagram story, Portable emphasized that Bewaji stood by him when he had nothing, questioning why he should abandon her now that he has gained fame and wealth. He further noted that many women are now interested in him only because of his financial success.

The singer also revealed that Bewaji removed her father’s name from her passport and replaced it with his surname as a sign of loyalty and love.

"If you want to travel with me, my father’s name must be on your international passport. Bewaji did it, and that’s why she is my tomorrow," he stated.

Portable's comments didn't sit well with his fourth baby mama, Ashabi, who responded to a fan's inquiry about the singer taking Bewaji to London. She claimed she was unbothered, stating that she is "number five" in his life.

Her remarks triggered a reaction from Portable, who accused her of competing with his wife and causing unnecessary drama. He criticized women for being their own worst enemies, adding that Bewaji never interferes in his relationships with other women.

"So now that I have money, all women are chasing me. Should I forget the one person who believed in me when no one else did? I respect my tomorrow," he said.

The feud between Portable and Ashabi is the latest in their on-and-off relationship. Despite their frequent disagreements, the two have always reconciled. Earlier in the year, Ashabi had expressed gratitude to Portable for being part of her life, calling him her "blessing in disguise" and affirming that they would always work through their differences.
