Veteran Yoruba film actress Yetunde Wunmi has revealed details about her past marriage to the late actor and filmmaker Alade Aromire, shedding light on the emotional reasons behind their separation.
In a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV's official YouTube channel, Wunmi confirmed that she and Alade Aromire were married for three years. According to her, the marriage ended because she was unable to conceive a child during that time.
She explained that their relationship began on movie sets, as Aromire regularly took her along to various filming locations. Their connection grew stronger and led to marriage, but the union eventually broke down due to childlessness.
Wunmi said:
“It’s true that I was in a relationship with Alade Aromire. I had even included his name in my own, and only stopped using it after we broke up. I was married to him for three years, but we went our separate ways because I couldn’t have a child for him.”
Her candid revelation has drawn mixed reactions online, with many praising her for her honesty and courage to share such a personal story.
