“I Love You, Baami” — Tope Alabi’s Daughter, Ayomiku, Celebrates Husband and Stepdad Soji Alabi on Father’s Day

On Father’s Day, Ayomiku Alabi, daughter of famous gospel singer Tope Alabi, took a moment to celebrate the two most important men in her life — her husband, Oluwole Bantale, and her stepfather, Soji Alabi.

The singer and content creator posted a touching video and photo on Instagram on Sunday, accompanied by a heartfelt caption that read:

“Happy Father’s Day to the loves of my life, @officialpopesojialabi and @bantelmotors. May the joy of fatherhood never leave you. I love you both so much ❤️.”

Ayomiku, who tied the knot with Oluwole on March 12, 2025, in a private ceremony, melted hearts when her stepfather, Soji Alabi, walked her down the aisle. She later praised him publicly, calling him her true father.

“This man loves me beyond words. From childhood up until the day you gave my hand in marriage to Olu… I love you, Baami.”

However, the emotional moment also revived a long-standing family controversy. Ayomiku’s biological father, Mayegun Olaoye, resurfaced online, claiming he had been estranged from her for over 20 years. In a 2020 interview, he said he had tried to reconnect but was allegedly blocked.

Following her wedding, the topic trended again, with social media users asking why he was excluded and expressing mixed feelings over Ayomiku’s choice.

Despite the criticism, Ayomiku has remained firm in her stance, making it clear that Soji Alabi is the only father figure she recognizes. Her Father’s Day post was widely praised by fans and fellow celebrities, who commended her loyalty and strength in honoring the man who raised her with love and care.
