Reality TV star and influencer, Tacha Akide, has expressed a strong interest in joining politics, saying her goal is to help improve the lives of ordinary Nigerians.
Speaking in an interview with BBC Pidgin, Tacha explained that her motivation comes from a genuine desire to promote good governance, accountability, and transparency. She noted that politics influences every part of people’s lives and that real change can only happen when those with sincere intentions decide to get involved.
“People always say after God, it’s politics. Truly, one government policy can make or break you,” she said. “If you keep complaining about the system, it only makes sense to get involved and make decisions that will make life easier for people.”
Tacha further stated that she plans to use her platform and influence to push for responsible leadership and to hold those in power accountable. She made it clear that her political ambition is not for personal gain, but to speak up for citizens and ensure leaders do the right thing.
“Politics is something I’m passionate about,” she added. “I will continue using my platform to push for good governance and speak up when leaders fail to do what’s right.”
