Abuja Police Launch Investigation Into Alleged Suicide of 20-Year-Old

 


The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has begun an investigation into the tragic case of a 20-year-old man, identified as Alfred Habila, who allegedly took his own life in Abuja.

According to reports shared by security analyst Zagazola Makama, Habila, a labourer from Bogoro Local Government Area in Bauchi State, was found hanging inside an uncompleted building located behind River Park Estate, Lugbe, on the morning of Sunday, November 2, 2025.

A resident, Engr. Jatto Abdulkareem, informed the police that he received a distress call from another resident, Joshua, who discovered the lifeless body around 8 a.m.

Police officers quickly arrived at the scene, took photographs, and moved the body to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada, where Habila was confirmed dead on arrival.

His body has since been deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy and preservation, while investigations continue to determine the circumstances that led to the tragic incident.
