Beautiful Scene as Toyin Abraham Pays Respect to Funke Akindele During Toke Makinwa’s Baby Dedication

Nollywood stars Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham warmed hearts after sharing a sweet and respectful moment at Toke Makinwa’s daughter’s dedication.

According to Kemi Filani News, the event took place on Sunday, November 2nd, when media personality Toke Makinwa dedicated her baby girl to God and hosted a lavish celebration attended by top celebrities.

A video from the party showed Toyin Abraham kneeling to greet Funke Akindele, a gesture that melted hearts online. Fans flooded social media with comments, praising Toyin’s humility and the lovely show of respect.

One fan, Victor Ogbaegbe, wrote, “These are lovely to see.”
Another, Luckibaby, said, “Amazing moments.”
Temi added, “Awwwn,” while Nonyjay commented, “Lovely.”

This adorable exchange comes after the actresses were spotted sharing cheerful moments at Funke Akindele’s movie premiere, “A Tribe Called Judah,” a month earlier, where they danced and laughed together, putting old rumors to rest.

For years, both women were believed to have had a rivalry due to their strong presence in Nollywood. However, in 2024, they reconciled when Toyin publicly celebrated Funke’s birthday, and Funke returned the gesture. Toyin also attended Funke’s movie premiere, further proving that peace had been restored.

Earlier this year, Toyin wrote an open letter to Funke, admitting that fan wars had fueled their past misunderstanding. She congratulated Funke for reaching the ₦1 billion cinema record, and Funke replied with kind wishes.

Although there was a brief moment of competition when Toyin teased the sequel to her film “Alakada” shortly after Funke announced her own sequel to “Jenifa,” Toyin later shared a thoughtful post reminding fans that “no one is perfect; we all make mistakes, learn, and move on.”

Now, their recent public show of love has reassured fans that the two box office queens have truly put the past behind them — choosing unity, growth, and mutual respect over rivalry.
