Nollywood actress Yetunde Barnabas is celebrating a new social media milestone after finally breaking past the one-million-follower mark on Instagram—a number she says remained unchanged for more than a year.
The actress took to her Instagram page to express her excitement, revealing that her follower count had been fluctuating for months. She joked that Instagram kept “reducing [her] followers like rent was due,” and thanked her fans for standing by her through it all. She also celebrated another achievement on her professional dashboard, which recently hit an impressive 30 million views.
In her words:
“Finallyyy!! After being stuck at 1 million followers for over a year, Instagram has finally set me free! They kept reducing my followers like rent was due. Eshe ooo my people… And please, can we talk about my 30 MILLION VIEWS insight? E choke! To everyone who follows, supports, likes, shares, or just vibes with me, THANK YOU. We move.”
This social media achievement comes shortly after Yetunde announced the birth of her second child earlier this month. Sharing heartwarming photos of herself, her footballer husband, and their newborn son, she described the baby as their miracle.
Just last week, the couple hosted the traditional 8-day naming ceremony, which was attended by Nollywood stars including Fausat Balogun, Ijebu, and Tawa Ajisefinni alongside her husband.
In June, Yetunde and her husband celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary. Posting beautiful family portraits, she reflected on their journey, saying their relationship began with love and has continued to thrive on the same foundation. She also expressed confidence in the decision she made years ago, saying she never doubted saying “yes” to a lifetime with him.
