“Politics Is Off My Calling” – Bishop Oyedepo Says He Won’t Join Politics Even for $1 Billion

The Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide (LFC), Dr. David Olaniyi Oyedepo, has made it clear that he has no interest in politics, no matter the financial reward.

Speaking during the impartation service at the church’s annual convocation, Shiloh 2025, Bishop Oyedepo said partisan politics is not part of his divine assignment. He stated that even if he were offered $1 billion, he would still refuse to go into politics because it is not aligned with his calling.

According to the cleric, everyone has a specific purpose given by God, and believers should focus on their own assignment rather than being distracted by areas they are not called into. He encouraged members of the church to stay committed to their divine purpose, saying it is within that calling that they are meant to “rule their world” and be part of God’s end-time army.

Bishop Oyedepo also reflected on national challenges, reminding the congregation that he had warned in 2015 that difficult times were coming. He asked rhetorically if those troubles had not already happened, pointing to the current state of affairs as proof.

In his closing remarks, the bishop said the world is presently “groaning in darkness” and waiting for the manifestation of the children of God. He expressed confidence that God’s army is about to rise and provide solutions to national problems, just as biblical figures like Joseph and Daniel did in their time.
