Nollywood actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji has expressed deep gratitude after Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, paid a surprise visit to the set of his new movie currently filming in Ekiti State.
Sharing photos from the visit on Instagram, Lateef said he, his wife, and the entire cast and crew were honoured by the governor’s presence. According to him, the visit has given the team more motivation to deliver a high-quality film that truly reflects the strength, culture, and heritage of the Ekiti people and the entire Yoruba tribe.
Lateef praised Governor Oyebanji for his strong support for arts, culture, and history, describing the visit as a sign of visionary leadership and genuine commitment to preserving Ekiti’s heritage. He noted that the encouragement from the governor has strengthened their determination to make the project a success.
In his words, Lateef wrote:
“My wife and I, and the entire production crew and cast were deeply honoured by the solidarity visit of His Excellency, Governor Biodun Oyebanji to the film location sets of our new project in Ekiti State. His personal visit and unwavering support for arts, culture and history reflect visionary leadership and a deep commitment to Ekiti’s heritage.”
He added that the gesture has pushed them to work harder to deliver a world-class production that tells the story of resilience while showcasing the rich culture of the Ekiti people and the Yoruba tribe as a whole.
Lateef concluded by thanking the governor for believing in the project, appreciating his kindness, humility, and continuous support. He also acknowledged the director, Kayode Kasum, and the entire cast and crew for their dedication to the project.
