Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has shared a proud and humbling moment involving the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
According to Akindele, the Governor took time to watch her movie, Behind the Scenes. She described the experience as a reminder that hard work, commitment, and consistency can open doors and make one’s work speak in places they never imagined.
The filmmaker said she feels deeply fulfilled and happy knowing that the movie touched many people and that the message she hoped to pass across was clearly felt by viewers. She also expressed her appreciation to Governor Sanwo-Olu for making out time to watch the film and for giving thoughtful feedback afterward.
Sharing her excitement, Akindele thanked the Governor for the honour and encouragement, describing the moment as truly humbling.
