Bewaji, the wife of controversial Nigerian singer Portable, has finally spoken out following her husband’s emotional plea to her.
Taking to her Instagram page, Bewaji shared fresh photos of herself alongside a short but powerful message about her current state of mind. She wrote that healing has made her more private, growth has made her more selective, and peace has helped her stay unbothered by distractions. Her post appeared calm and reflective, suggesting a focus on personal peace rather than public drama.
Her message came shortly after Portable publicly declared his return to her. The singer claimed that he was fully back with his wife and alleged that any influence his baby mama, actress Ashabi, once had over him was no longer effective. Portable went on to describe Bewaji as his only legal wife, insisting that he has no intention of marrying another woman.
It will be recalled that late last year, Bewaji announced she was expecting her third child with Portable. She shared a video proudly showing her baby bump, which drew congratulatory messages from fans. Around the same period, Portable also posted a video of himself with Bewaji, where he was seen affectionately playing with her and spraying her money.
Portable is legally married to Bewaji, with whom he has two children. He also has four other children from three different women. Despite their marital challenges, including a public fallout last year, the couple eventually reconciled and reunited.
The latest developments suggest that Bewaji is choosing peace and personal growth as she navigates her marriage and the public attention surrounding it.
