Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has shared a funny personal moment following the Super Eagles’ loss at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Nigeria was defeated by tournament hosts Morocco on Wednesday after the match ended in a penalty shoot-out. The Atlas Lions won 4–2 on penalties, with goalkeeper Yassine Bounou emerging as the hero after making two crucial saves.
Reacting to the outcome, Kunle Remi revealed in an Instagram post that he had placed a bet with his wife before the match. According to the actor, the agreement was simple: if Nigeria won, he would do nothing in the house until the next AFCON. However, if Morocco won, he would live and sleep in the kitchen.
With the Super Eagles losing the match, Kunle confirmed that he would now be relocating to the kitchen. Sharing the update in a light-hearted tone, he jokingly introduced his kitchen as his new living space while still expressing love for the Super Eagles.
He wrote that the bet was clear, and although he lost, he was ready to face the consequences, ending his post by calling the kitchen his “new luxurious space.”
The post quickly attracted reactions from his colleagues and fans in the entertainment industry. Actor Adeolu Funsho joked that he was glad he did not place such a bet with his wife. Comedian Warri Pikin teased Kunle, asking what he was frying in the kitchen.
