Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has warned the public after a new employee allegedly stole ₦3 million from her business account barely days after resuming work.
According to the actress, the suspect had only been employed for about two weeks when the incident happened. She revealed that the worker allegedly gained unauthorized access to her mobile phone and bank details and transferred the money from her Zenith Bank account just seven days into the job.
Sarah expressed shock at how quickly the theft was carried out, noting that the employee did not have close or long-term access to her personal life. She raised concerns about how easily her mobile banking security was compromised within such a short period.
The incident sparked reactions on social media, with many users sharing their fears and concerns.
One user wrote, “This is why people are extra careful with domestic staff,” while another commented, “Seven days? That’s scary.”
Sarah Martins’ experience has since served as a cautionary story for business owners and employers to be more careful and tighten security around personal and business finances.
