Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has once again made history at the cinemas with her 2025 movie, Behind The Scenes. The film has officially crossed the ₦2.1 billion mark at the Nigerian box office in just one month.
The award-winning actress shared the exciting news on her Instagram page, describing the achievement as another major milestone in her career. According to her, records are not the main goal but signs of progress along the journey.
Funke gave all the glory to God, saying the success of the movie is proof that God is at work. She also reflected on the principles that continue to guide her success, stressing the importance of telling good stories, respecting the audience, and constantly improving her craft.
In her words:
“Records are milestones, not the mission. From A Tribe Called Judah grossing ₦1 billion to Behind The Scenes crossing ₦2 billion and still counting, this is God in motion. I return all the glory to God. The lesson remains the same: serve the story, respect the audience, refine the craft, and let the work earn its applause.”
