Nigerian music star Davido has opened up about the ongoing paternity controversy involving a teenage girl, Anu Adeleke, saying his father insisted he undergo DNA tests because the Adeleke family takes blood relationships very seriously.
The singer spoke after Anu Adeleke publicly appealed to him for a DNA test, claiming her mother believes Davido is her biological father. The claim quickly gained attention online and sparked widespread debate.
Responding to the situation, Davido stated that five DNA tests have already been carried out and that all the results came back negative. He stressed that the decision to take the tests was not taken lightly.
According to Davido, his father was the one who strongly pushed for the DNA tests to be done. In his words, the singer said:
“You guys don’t know my father… he’s even the one that forced me to go.”
Davido further emphasized how seriously his family treats issues of lineage and blood ties, adding:
“Adeleke’s, we don’t play about blood on this side!”
