Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has said he is not certain of securing the presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a video message to his supporters, Obi explained that while many people have asked if he is sure of getting the party’s ticket, he cannot give a definite answer. He stressed that what truly matters is the commitment to a common goal and the bigger vision they are working towards.
Obi also reflected on the current political situation, questioning how things reached this point and what could happen if efforts toward change are abandoned.
Despite uncertainties, he assured supporters that he remains focused and has not allowed any reported threats to discourage him. He also praised his supporters for their loyalty and resilience, noting that being in the opposition in Nigeria is not easy.
The former candidate expressed gratitude to those who continue to support him, even without immediate rewards, acknowledging their sacrifices and dedication to the cause.
