Turkish club Galatasaray will decide in the coming days whether Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will undergo surgery after suffering an injury during a Champions League match.
Osimhen picked up an arm injury in the first half of their Round of 16 second-leg clash against Liverpool at Anfield. He was later withdrawn at halftime after medical checks showed a risk of a fracture.
The club confirmed that further examination at the hospital revealed a fracture in his right forearm, and a cast has already been applied. A final decision on whether he will need surgery will be made after additional medical evaluations.
Galatasaray struggled in his absence, losing 4-0 on the night to a Liverpool side managed by Arne Slot. The result saw Liverpool advance with a 4-1 aggregate victory.
Osimhen’s injury is a major concern for the team, as they now await further updates on his condition and recovery timeline.
