Crayon Sparks Controversy After Blasting Don Jazzy Over Mavin Records Exit

Nigerian singer Crayon and his label boss Don Jazzy have become the focus of social media discussions after a series of emotional and confusing posts shared by the singer on X (formerly Twitter).

The controversy began when Crayon posted a message that appeared to suggest trouble within Mavin Records. In one of the posts, the singer wrote that “Mavin is going down,” but in the same breath referred to Don Jazzy as “his guy,” which left fans confused and sparked speculation about possible disagreements behind the scenes.

Crayon later shared several other tweets that many users described as cryptic and difficult to understand. Some of the messages included phrases like “My stress code name: na Gkitxh MONEY$,” “I’m glitchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh moneyyyyyyyyy,” and other posts that appeared to compare himself with fellow artist Rema.

One of the tweets also read, “You stole my star,” and another suggested that Rema would not get a feature for “the next 100 years.” These comments quickly attracted attention online and led to widespread debate among fans.

Many social media users began speculating that the singer might be frustrated with the level of promotion he receives at Mavin Records, especially when compared to other label stars like Ayra Starr and Rema. Others suggested that the posts might simply be an emotional reaction to pressure within the music industry.

Some fans also raised the possibility that Crayon’s account may have been hacked, while others believed he might be hinting at plans to pursue a more independent music path or even leave the label.

The speculation grew stronger after fans noticed that Crayon’s recent song release did not appear to receive strong promotion from Mavin Records’ official platforms.

Observers also pointed out that the singer has been less active publicly since the death of his mother last year. Many believe that personal grief combined with industry pressure could be affecting him.

With the mix of cryptic posts, limited promotional support, and ongoing fan reactions, Crayon and Mavin Records have now become the center of intense discussions across social media.
