Nollywood actor Kunle Afod has earned praise from fans after paying a visit to the children of late Yoruba singer Saint Janet following their mother’s death.
The actor shared a video from his visit, showing him spending time with the bereaved children, offering them words of comfort and presenting them with financial support.
In his message, Afod acknowledged the pain that comes with losing a loved one, noting that although nobody wishes to experience such a loss, death is inevitable and must ultimately be accepted as God’s will.
He described Saint Janet as a “great soul” whose absence would be deeply felt by her loved ones and those who knew her.
Afod also prayed for God to comfort the family, strengthen the late singer’s children and give them the grace to cope with what he described as an irreplaceable loss.
He wrote:
“We never pray to lose our loved ones, but when death comes, there is nothing we can do but accept the will of God.”
The actor further prayed for the peaceful repose of Saint Janet’s soul, while his gesture towards her children has been widely appreciated by fans and followers.
Afod’s visit highlights the importance of supporting families during moments of grief, particularly children who are left to cope with the loss of a parent.
