Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has unfollowed fellow actress Biola Adebayo on Instagram following Biola’s controversial interview with convicted actor Baba Ijesha. A check of Iyabo’s official page shows she no longer follows Biola, though Biola continues to follow Iyabo, making the move appear one-sided.
The fallout stems from Biola’s viral podcast in which Baba Ijesha denied sexually assaulting a minor and claimed the situation was a setup. During the interview, Baba Ijesha expressed hurt over Iyabo’s involvement, noting that she once trusted him enough to leave her children in his care.
In response, Iyabo issued a stern warning to Baba Ijesha about mentioning her children:
"I have no problem with you telling your side of the story, but take this as a notice to cease from using my children as your cheap bait. It won’t fly. Please don’t drag my kids into this. Stop mentioning their names else I would direct my counsel to serve you appropriate papers."
The incident highlights ongoing tensions between Nollywood colleagues and the sensitivity surrounding the Baba Ijesha case.
