The Presidency breaks its silence on a viral video claiming a chef poisoned President Bola Tinubu.

The Presidency has dismissed a viral video alleging that a chef working at the Presidential Villa was arrested for attempting to poison President Bola Tinubu.

The video, which circulated widely online, claimed that a special police squad was deployed to the Villa and that security around the presidential residence had been tightened. It further alleged that the supposed arrest followed credible threats to the President’s safety and that security officials had launched a coordinated investigation.

According to the false report, the unnamed kitchen staff member was taken into custody for questioning while authorities examined evidence related to an alleged poisoning attempt.

However, the Presidency has strongly denied the claims. The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, described the video as “fake news.” He stated clearly that the story was completely fabricated and urged the public to ignore it.

The Presidency emphasized that there was no truth to the allegations and assured Nigerians that the President remains safe.
