Victor Osimhen will need to be cautious when Galatasaray S.K. face Liverpool F.C. in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 clash on Tuesday evening.
The Nigerian striker is currently one yellow card away from a one-match suspension. Galatasaray will host Liverpool at Rams Park for the first leg of the highly anticipated encounter.
The match will be officiated by Spanish referee Jesús Gil Manzano.
Osimhen has already received two yellow cards in this season’s Champions League campaign during matches against Juventus F.C. and Atlético Madrid.
If the striker receives another yellow card against Liverpool, he will miss the return leg scheduled to take place at Anfield next week.
According to UEFA regulations, players in the Champions League receive a one-match suspension after accumulating three yellow cards, provided the cautions do not result in a red card. After serving the first suspension, another one-match ban will occur for every odd-numbered yellow card that follows, such as the fifth or seventh booking.
