Desola Afod, wife of Nollywood actor Kunle Afod, has reacted strongly to online trolls amid ongoing discussions about her marriage.
The controversy began after a social media user advised the mother of four to remove “Afod” from her name if she no longer wanted to be addressed as “Mrs.” The critic claimed that without her husband’s surname, she would be irrelevant, adding that her husband made her a celebrity.
In response, Desola fired back angrily, warning the individual not to enter her direct messages again. She stated that she does not interfere negatively in anyone’s life and threatened consequences for what she described as disrespect and audacity.
Another critic accused her of sharing his profile publicly to encourage her followers to attack him. Desola denied wrongdoing and insisted that while people are free to criticize her on blogs, she would not tolerate anyone invading her private space.
She made it clear that she cannot be bullied into silence. According to her, she has loved ones she is living for and will not allow online harassment to break her spirit. She added that silence is no longer golden when it comes to defending herself.
The heated exchange has sparked mixed reactions online, with some supporting her decision to stand up for herself, while others believe the situation could have been handled more calmly.
