2027: Jandor Withdraws from 2027 Lagos Governorship Race After Tinubu’s Endorsement

Dr. Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has officially withdrawn from the 2027 Lagos State governorship race under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He made the announcement on Thursday while addressing party leaders, members of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, and his supporters at Liberty House in Ikeja.

His decision follows the reported endorsement of the current Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat, by President Bola Tinubu.

Explaining his withdrawal, Adediran said recent developments within the party influenced his move, especially after it became clear that the President had backed another candidate.

He noted that he had always planned to align with the President’s direction, adding that the endorsement played a key role in his decision to step down from the race.

The move has sparked political reactions, with party members and observers closely watching how the development may shape the upcoming 2027 governorship election in Lagos State.
