Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has once again made headlines following a fresh dispute with influencer Tunde Perry.
The controversy began after Tunde Perry alleged that a meeting was held by some music industry executives to cut ties with Portable due to what he described as repeated misconduct. According to him, the singer’s behaviour has not only affected his own career but has also made industry figures more cautious about supporting upcoming artists.
Perry further claimed that popular rapper Olamide has become more sceptical about helping new talents following his past experience with Portable, who rose to fame with his support.
Reacting to the claims, Portable fired back, warning those allegedly behind the move to blacklist him. He insisted that he does not depend on any industry executive for success, stating that his fans alone are enough to keep him relevant.
The situation later escalated when both men reportedly met at the residence of media executive Soso Soberekon. In a viral video, Portable was seen shirtless, holding a chair and angrily confronting Perry, while security personnel stepped in to control the situation.
The incident has since sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians debating the singer’s behaviour and its impact on his career and the wider music industry.
