“Mohbad is such an unfortunate guy,” — Oyemykke reveals.

The burial of late Nigerian singer Mohbad has continued to generate controversy three years after his death, as family disagreements and public reactions keep the issue in the spotlight.

Social media commentator Oyemykke has reacted strongly to the ongoing delay in burying the late singer, describing the situation as unfortunate and blaming different relationships in Mohbad’s life for the crisis.

In a post, he expressed frustration over the prolonged dispute, saying:

“I never met Mohbad in person but he is such an unfortunate guy. He married the wrong woman, met the wrong friends and came from the wrong family. Since Sept 2023, he has not been buried… Mohbad, Baba does not want to bury you because he wants to do the DNA, your wife doesn’t want to do the DNA… Let them just bury the boy. How much did Mohbad even have that you want to do this DNA?… Mohbad is not resting in peace. It is 3 years.”

At the centre of the disagreement is a DNA test requested by Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, who insists that confirming the paternity of Mohbad’s son is necessary before the singer can be laid to rest.

Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, has reportedly agreed to the DNA test but says certain conditions from the family have caused delays in the process.

Meanwhile, fans and supporters of the late singer have continued to call for an urgent resolution, arguing that the ongoing disagreement has kept Mohbad from being properly buried and has denied him peace.
