Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has shared an emotional moment from his recent visit to Lipede Market in Abeokuta, where he received a warm welcome from traders, residents, and fans while filming.
According to the actor, the overwhelming show of love deeply touched him as many market women and community members gathered around him with excitement and joy.
Lateef revealed that some of the women entertained the crew with dances and also gave funny but heartfelt advice about caring for babies.
Clearly emotional about the reception, the actor described the experience as a special homecoming.
He said:
“Who is cutting onions? This feels like a different kind of homecoming. I was at the Lipede market in Abeokuta to film and this was how my people welcomed me.”
The touching moment comes only weeks after Lateef and his wife, Adebimpe Oyebade, welcomed a set of triplets, making the actor’s emotional reaction even more special to fans online.
