Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has written an open letter to President Bola Tinubu, expressing deep concern over the rising insecurity and increasing deaths across Nigeria.
Her message came following the reported killing of a teacher, which she described as another painful reminder of the growing violence in the country.
In her post, the actress urged the government to take urgent action to address the situation or allow citizens to take steps to protect their lives and property.
She wrote:
“This is not propaganda!
This is not your enemies trying to make you look bad.
And even if they were, you can’t leave your house on fire.
Dear President Tinubu, pls do something, or give us the go-ahead to protect our lives and properties.
Too much death everywhere.
Being a Nigerian is not even safe at home anymore.
Too many innocent lives are paying for sins they know nothing about.”
Kadiri stressed that insecurity has become a serious concern, saying that innocent people are losing their lives daily due to violence they are not responsible for.
Her emotional appeal has since sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians sharing similar concerns about safety and urging stronger government intervention to protect citizens.
