Wunmi Aloba, widow of late singer Mohbad, has called on social media users to stop constantly begging her for financial help, saying the requests have become overwhelming.
The mother of one shared a message she received from a follower, in which a nursing mother begged for money to buy food for her baby. The woman explained that her three-month-old child was not fully satisfied with breast milk and was currently being fed NAN1 formula.
The message read:
“Good afternoon ma. Please I need your help ma, I am a nursing mother of a 3 months old baby… please ma help me with little amount to buy her food ma, I noticed she’s not satisfied with breast milk. She’s eating NAN1 ma… God will bless you ma.”
Reacting to the message, Wunmi expressed frustration and urged the public to understand her situation, noting that she is also struggling as a young widow raising a three-year-old son.
She wrote:
“I am a young widow with a 3-year-old son doing everything I could to make sure he doesn’t suffer. Please y’all should stop begging me for money, it’s getting too much. Stop making me feel like a bad person. I need help like me too.”
Her statement has since sparked reactions online, with many users expressing sympathy for her while others debated the pressure placed on public figures for financial assistance.
