Police operatives in Lagos State have rescued a 23-year-old man who was found unconscious after allegedly ingesting insecticide in the Magodo area of the state.

The incident was reported to the Isheri Police Division on June 21, 2026, by a resident, Aminat Odofin, who lives at No. 24 Nojim Nije Street, Magodo.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, Odofin said she discovered the young man, identified as Michael Bliss, lying unconscious inside a room in the house at about 8:40 a.m. She explained that he had been under her care since he was seven years old.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the incident may have occurred after the victim allegedly ingested a quantity of insecticide following a confrontation over suspected theft.

The victim was quickly taken to Spark View Hospital in Magodo, where he received emergency medical treatment.
