The elder sister of Nigerian social media personality DJ Chicken has made an emotional public appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his son, Seyi Tinubu, pleading with them to forgive her brother following his recent arrest.
In a heartfelt message, she described the difficult circumstances facing their family, revealing that they have lost both parents and have no close relatives to rely on for support.
She further appealed for compassion, claiming that her brother is not mentally stable and asking the President and his son not to take offense over his actions.
According to her:
"I am the immediate elder sister of DJ Chicken. We don't have both father and mother, neither do we have relatives.
"Please, I'm begging President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his son, Seyi Tinubu, to please forgive my brother, DJ Chicken. My brother is not mentally stable. Please don't be annoyed."
Her appeal comes after DJ Chicken was arrested following the circulation of a video in which he allegedly made statements that authorities considered threatening toward Seyi Tinubu.
The social media personality was subsequently arraigned in court on multiple charges, including alleged threats against the President's son, conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, and offences under Nigeria's Cybercrimes Act. The case is currently before the court, and the allegations remain subject to judicial determination.
The emotional plea from his sister has sparked mixed reactions online, with some Nigerians expressing sympathy for the family, while others emphasized the need to allow the legal process to run its course.
