“I Didn’t Go to School, But I Know More Than Graduates” – MC Oluomo Speaks About His Life and Children

The President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, has said that even though he never went to school, he believes he has more knowledge and life experience than many university graduates.

MC Oluomo made the statement while speaking at the 50th birthday celebration of Islamic singer Hafsat Adegoke in Lagos.

Sharing his life story, he said he started working as a bus conductor at a young age and was already earning his own money as a teenager. According to him, he used part of his earnings to watch movies and also helped his mother by giving her money for food.

He explained that the lessons he learned from hard work, discipline, and real-life experience helped him become one of the most successful transport union leaders in Nigeria.

MC Oluomo said he worked his way up in the NURTW and earned every position through dedication and commitment.

According to him:

“I didn’t go to school, but the knowledge and understanding I have are greater than what many graduates have.”

Despite not having a formal education, MC Oluomo said he made sure his children had the opportunity to go to school and become successful professionals.

Speaking proudly about them, he revealed that his children are doing well in the United States.

“If I am not educated, I thank God. Today, my children are a doctor, a lawyer, and an engineer, and they are in America. I thank God for their lives.”

His comments have sparked mixed reactions online. While some people praised his hard work and success, others believe that formal education is still very important.
