Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has reacted angrily to a request for child support from his babymama, actress Ashabi, concerning their two children.
In a video shared online, the singer accused Ashabi of being unfaithful during their relationship and subsequently raised questions about the paternity of the children.
Portable stated that he was not prepared to pay child support until DNA tests are conducted to establish the paternity of the two children.
The singer's comments come after Ashabi had reportedly called on him to provide financial support for their children. She had also suggested that the two of them maintain a cordial relationship and become friends for the sake of their children.
However, Portable rejected the suggestion, making it clear that he did not consider Ashabi a friend.
The singer described her as his “enemy for life”, indicating that he had no intention of maintaining a friendship with her despite their shared parental responsibilities.
Portable's remarks have further drawn public attention to the ongoing disagreement between the former partners, particularly over child support, paternity and their relationship as co-parents.
