Ex-Finance Minister Olu Falae Escapes Death As Bullion Van Escort Opens Fire At His Car

A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation and the ex minister of finance, Chief Olu Falae on tuesday escapes death as escort of a bullion van opens fire at his car, shooting excessively.
Falae who's the chairman of Social Democratic Party(SDP) was said to have been traveling to Ile-Ife for Afenifere leaders’ visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

He explained to inside sources about the issues, in his words, Falae said:
"I was comin frm Akure, approaching Ilesa. I saw some vehicles ahead of me. There was a bullion van in front, d vehicles ahead of us were overtakin the bullion van &we followed too.
"We jut barely passed thm when I heard a shot &I heard a bang on d car. We stopped &we discovered tht they had shot at our car.
"They didn't stop. We stopped at Erin-Ijesa &complained to d police at d checkpoint tht one of the policemen escorting a bullion van fired at us at Ile-Oluji Juction".
