Despite the fact that Faithia Balogun, now known as Faithia William, did not star in Yomi Fabiyi's controversial film Oko Iyabo, Nigerians have descended on her social media page to criticize her.
The new film "Oko Iyabo," which depicts the Baba Ijesha r*pe narrative, has offended not only Nigerians but also celebrities.
In April, authorities arrested Baba Ijesha for allegedly s*xually assaulting Princess, the comedienne's 14-year-old foster daughter.
Fabiyi had staged a protest against Baba Ijesha's incarceration and pledged to stand as his surety.
Yomi Fabiyi produced the film, which is also directed by Dele Matti.
Fabiyi tweeted last month, “The Movie “OKO IYABO” location loading. A lovely story & concept. We are gettng ready. Una don watch OKO RAMOTA & u enjoyed it, get ready for OKO IYABO.”
Hassan Ogogo, Adewale Elesho, Toyin Afolayan, Baba Olafaina, Akeem Alimi, and other Yoruba veteran actors appear in the film.
Despite not appearing in the film, Nigerians descended on Faithia Balogun's Facebook page to condemn her for taking part in it.
