Doris Chima, a well-known Nollywood actress, has passed away. The veteran actress died after a long battle with breast cancer.
Her breast was removed to prevent additional harm after she was diagnosed with the condition in 2020.
Emeka Rising Ibe, the chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria's Lagos state branch, confirmed Chima's death, saying he is still in shock at the tragic scenario because Chima was a dedicated member and a wonderful woman.
“She called me last week and pleaded due to ill health not to remove her from the verification exercise I embarked on to ascertain true members of the guild in Lagos.
Yesterday morning, I got a call that she was dead. Though I am yet to visit the family but it is a great loss for us. I pray for the repose of her soul.”he said.
