Nollywood Actress Bimbo Akinsanya recounts ordeal with now-disbanded SARS police
In a recent interview, Bimbo Akinsanya shared her traumatic experience with the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigerian police. She was falsely accused by a pastor of hiring an assassin and was subjected to brutal treatment including being stripped naked during her time in police custody. The incident occurred due to a conflict with the church the pastor was running next to Bimbo's father's house, which was causing disturbance in the neighborhood. Bimbo was in police custody for four days until she was rescued by MC Oluomo, family, friends, and colleagues in the movie industry. The actress has described the experience as unforgettable and still haunts her to this day.
