Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo is currently fuming over a social media post made by an aide to MC Oluomo, Koko Zaria, in which he called her and other celebrities "omo ale Yoruba" (Yoruba bastards) for not supporting the reelection of Governor Sanwo-Olu in the Lagos gubernatorial election. Iyabo Ojo, Falz, and Mr. Macaroni had all campaigned for the Labour Party's candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.
In response, Iyabo Ojo took to her Instagram page to slam Koko Zaria for insulting her and others for their political choices. She also called out the Nigerian police and demanded that they hold Koko Zaria accountable if anything happened to her or her colleagues. This comes after actress Adunni Ade also cried out about a threat to her life allegedly made by Koko Zaria. In a video, Koko Zaria threatened to teach Adunni Ade and Kemi Afolabi a lesson if they crossed paths with him after Adunni Ade claimed that Yoruba actors were paid N90,000 to campaign for Tinubu. Adunni Ade has since consulted with the US Consulate, her lawyers, and other appropriate channels in Lagos over the alleged threat.
