Falz's Mother Takes Lead in Seeking Justice for Mohbad, Sets Date for Witnesses in Court

The sudden and tragic death of 27-year-old artist Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad, has sparked controversy and led to the initiation of a coroner's investigation by the Lagos State Government to unravel the circumstances surrounding his demise.

Mrs. Funmi Falana, the wife of human rights lawyer Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), expressed hope for justice in the untimely death of Mohbad. A preliminary discussion regarding the investigation took place at the courthouse on Friday.

Mrs. Falana, a human rights activist and the legal representative of the family, emphasized that the aim of the coroner's inquest is to uncover the truth behind Mohbad's passing. She stated that justice is the expectation.

The inquest has scheduled October 13, 2023, for witnesses to appear, although journalists were reportedly barred from the proceedings as per the orders of Chief Magistrate Tajudeen Elias. Mrs. Falana clarified that the identities of the witnesses would remain undisclosed until their appearance before the court.
