The Shepherd-in-charge of the Celestial Church of Christ International Headquarters in Ketu, Olatosho Oshoffa, criticizes the decision of a Lagos state parish pastor who invited Fuji singer Pasuma and street-hop artist Portable to perform at an upcoming praise night in December.
A flyer released by the church announcing the guest artists generated mixed reactions on social media, with some supporting the decision and others finding it ethically questionable to invite secular artists to a church event. Oshoffa, reacting on Facebook, states that he has spoken to the cleric in charge of the parish, ensuring that the artists will no longer be part of the occasion.
Sharing the poster on his Facebook page, Oshoffa writes, "Dear Celestians, I have just spoken to the Shepherd in Charge of the above Parish at length. He has promised to make amendments to the posters. He has promised that the said contested artists would NOT come for the Nights. There is No doubt the said poster is very CONDEMNABLE. God bless CCC. Amen." This move highlights the church's commitment to addressing concerns and maintaining its ethical standards.
