“She Made Over N500 Million and Gave Us Nothing” – Mide Martins’ Colleagues Demand Share of Movie Revenue (Video)

Nollywood actress Mide Martins has faced demands from some of her colleagues, who are calling for a share of the reported revenue generated by her latest movie, “IYA.”

In a video circulating online, actors Obatide Kelvin and Debbie Shokoya were seen with Mide Martins on set as they confronted the actress over the movie’s earnings.

According to Obatide, IYA had reportedly generated N500 million on YouTube. He said he was speaking on behalf of the Omoonile association and Martins’ supporters, who he claimed had supported the actress and her project.

Obatide demanded N3 million from the reported earnings, arguing that Martins had made hundreds of millions of naira from the movie and that giving them N3 million should not be a problem.

He said:

“This woman has made N500 million from her movie on YouTube, and it has been confirmed. So we, the association of Omoonile and her supporters that have supported her to a large extent, that it is even conspicuous to the blind, have come to take our N3 million.”

He further stressed that Martins had made more than N500 million and questioned why she would be unwilling to give them N3 million.

Debbie Shokoya also backed the claim, insisting that Martins had indeed made more than N500 million from the movie. She challenged anyone to quote her on the claim.

“I am telling you. She has made over N500 million; quote me anywhere.”

The video has sparked reactions online, with the reported earnings of IYA and the colleagues’ demand for a share becoming a topic of discussion among fans and followers of the Nollywood actors.

However, the N500 million revenue claim was made by the actors in the video and was not independently verified in the information provided.
