A heartbreaking incident occurred during Nigeria's celebration of their victory in the African Cup of Nations, as a young man named Samuel tragically lost his life.


Samuel, a resident of Kaduna State serving in Adamawa State under the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), collapsed during the celebration of Nigeria's triumph over South Africa. Witnesses recounted that Samuel, who had expressed a dislike for watching penalty shootouts, collapsed just before Nigeria's decisive goal.


Despite efforts to rush him to the hospital, Samuel tragically passed away before reaching medical assistance. The NYSC Coordinator in Adamawa State, Mr. Jingi Dennis, confirmed the devastating news, shedding light on the circumstances surrounding Samuel's untimely demise.


According to Dennis, Samuel's colleagues recounted that he suddenly collapsed while watching the match and was subsequently confirmed dead at the General Hospital in Numan.


The tragic incident has left the community in mourning and serves as a sobering reminder of the fragility of life, particularly during moments of celebration.
