Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has criticized her colleague Jigan Babaoja after he threatened legal action over a video where she mimicked his walk. The video was shared by Wumi to promote her upcoming movie.
Jigan, unhappy with the video, warned Wumi that he would force any court to open on Monday to address the matter. He posted, “You go explain on Monday for court!!! @wumitoriola I will force any court to open on Monday over this case! Onyemilenuuuuuuuuu!”
In response, Wumi dismissed his threats, questioning who gave him the right to monopolize the industry. She pointed out that he isn’t the only person with a disability and challenged him to do his worst. She responded, "Ha Agbakan na, who gives you license to monopolize the industry? Who? @jiganbabaojo, do your worst, imagine. Are you the only handicapped in the world? Do your worst, I am ready."
Jigan replied, suggesting that Wumi had brought trouble upon herself, and asked several mocking questions about her disability status, saying, “Answer a few questions ooo. Do you have an ID? Your own na injection or motor jam you? You don price madam.”
The public spat has garnered mixed reactions from fans and colleagues in the industry.
